    GLEN WILSON - SCOTTISH STEAMER MAIL - DAVID MACBRAYNE LTD. ENVELOPE: A beautifully illustrated env. (tear along top which does not overly detract, flap torn but complete) addressed to London and posted on board the outward service with a KGV 1d Scarlet tied by a mainly fine 26.5mm "GK & ARDRISHAIG PACKET/A/CHEVALIER/MR 19/13" Combined Datestamp. The env. is illustrated with a large vignette of a ship in the top left front, along with the company name and contact details, and "THE/ROYAL [crown] ROUTE/[crossed flags]/DAVID MACBRAYNE/GLASGOW & HIGHLAND R.M. STEAMERS" insignia on the flap. Rare usage (unrecorded by Mackay), particularly on such an attractive piece. Exhibition quality.
