Bigton is a tiny Shetland village in SW mainland.. Also three more modern Post Office handstamps for Garderhouse, Ovendale (?) & Whiteness. | 1205 | RARE EARLY "SHIP" + "CORK" ON RATE-CHANGED COVER FROM PORTUGAL TO LONDON; 12 Jan. 1766 E ('professionally' restored by some over-zealous idiot; unnecessarily 'silked' over the address-panel, which could be usefully reversed!) from a "Cap[tain]. of the Regiment of Artillery of Oporto" to an MP in London having a slightly over-inked "SHIP" on the front beside a very fine "CORK", but also having two scarce large fancy red London "Crown" Inspectors' marks over rate changes..
