UNDELIVERED LETTER EX LONDON TO TORTOLA ALONG WITH PRINTED DEAD LETTER OFFICE ENVELOPE IN WHICH IT WAS RETURNED TO THE SENDER: 1841 (1 Jan.) EL (vertical file crease and a little foxing) from London to Tortola marked "Dead" in m/s and subsequently returned to London along with Dead Letter Office "Returned Letter" envelope via which the EL was reunited with its sender. Interestingly enough the deceased addressee had been sent Power of Attorney to settle the affairs of an estate on Tortola. |
