Filippo Corsini mio assm. in London", unusually with no signs of having been sealed, and so presumably sent by personal trusted servant. The contents apparently also include disparaging comments about Dutch seamen; "...when these Flemings get into a tavern they do not come out"! ** 1060 RARE TINY EXETER ADDITIONAL "½" MARK ON "INDIA LETTER/PENZANCE" COVER; 11 Aug. 1836 - 20 Jan. 1837 EL (interesting contents ref. impending trip to China, etc.; small piece lost at top right off address - clear of "1/7" postal rate and well clear of mark and address - and other more minor wear) from on board ship off the coast of India to Edinburgh (arrival backstamp) with a very fine (inverted) tiny Exeter "½" on the front and partly fine double-boxed "INDIA LETTER/PENZANCE" across the join on the reverse.
