965 TRISTAN RELATED EPHEMERA, ETC.: A fascinating group of largely non-philatelic items comprising a blank sheet headed "THE TRISTAN TIMES" with two filing holes, a single sheet enrolment form for the Tristan da Cunha Defence Volunteers issued by Commander E.J.S. Woolley (as illustrated on page 84 of Crabb's book), four large black & white press photographs of the island, a series of 27 small black & white photographs of the island, islanders & indigenous wildlife, photocopies of four items sold on behalf of the Green family at Robson Lowe in 1975 (relevant auction catalogue included), "The Philatelist" for May 1975 with an article on Tristan, four assorted engravings predominantly culled from the "Graphic", a 1948 map of the island produced by the Directorate of Colonial Surveys and a superb colour photograph of the amazingly rare "TRISTAN/DA CUNHA" underprint previously owned by Gerry Bullock (and one of only two known) ex Mrs. Arthur Rogers to Mrs. Dent in Axminster thence forwarded to Richmond - this really is a fantastic reproduction which at first glance looks like the real thing!
