Three are censored. A clandestine service operated between Gibraltar and Malaga via the Mexican Consul in both towns to allow mail to be sent from Nationalist areas to Republican areas and visa-versa. (4 covers). £100
435 CIVIL WAR - NATIONALIST AIR ROUTES: 1937 (22 Mar) env from Palma via Rome to Germany franked at the 1p 25c rate made up of both nationalist & republican adhesives plus a special 10c pro para label paying the tax on overseas letters. The cover was carried by air to Rome only and has a fine strike of the red "PAR AVION JUSQU' "A" ROMA" h.s. 1937 env from Palma to Malta carried on the same air service, with a 10c nationalist stamp paying the tax for overseas letters.
