THE UNIQUE 2d-BISECT COVER TO G.B. - "PER GALWAY STEAMER VIA NEW YORK"; 4 May 1860 E ("Ringwood" of address altered in biro) from "HARBOUR GRACE" (fine c.d.s. on front) franked by Imperf. 2d Red vertical Bisect (SG2; the only recorded example of this 2d Bisect), 5d brown-purple (SG5; 4 close to good margins) and 1d brown-purple (SG1; not the original stamp - hinged to cover). The 2d Bisect and the 5d are tied, but some vandal removed the SG1 many years ago and R.H. Pratt found the replacement stamp (for Exhibition purposes) during the 1970s.
