RARE 16c YELLOW MULTIPLE FRANKING COVER: 16c Yellow, two singles, bright colour, on c.1878 envelope (embossed "Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank/Hong Kong" imprint on flap) to Cincinnati, Ohio (22 Feb.) "per City of Peking" via San Francisco (16 Feb.), cancelled "B62". A fine and rare franking which according to our records is the only recorded multiple franking of the 16c yellow used from Hong Kong. Photo

THE VERY RARE 10c DEEP BLUE-GREEN UNUSED BLOCK OF FOUR: 10c Deep blue-green (wonderful colour of striking intensity) in an unused block of four with part original gum. The top pair has a horizontal crease whilst a rust spot on the back has caused minor discolouration in chignon on top left stamp. The lower left stamp has minute paper adhesion on reverse.
