2309 EDINBURGH & LEITH CIRCULAR DELIVERY CO. ºd GREEN - USED ON COMPLETE ORIGINAL EDINBURGH PROPERTY CIRCULAR; 19 Feb. 1866 6-page printed "CAY & BLACK'S LIST" of houses for sale, delivered door-to-door and so not addressed, but franked by a fine Edinr. & Leith ºd green (rouletted 7) adhesive. It was usages of these stamps on private letters that led to the P.O. prosecuting the Circular Delivery Companies, but complete "junk-mail" items such as this, with their original ºd stamps still in place, are very rare indeed.
