1889 RARE USE OF THE BLUE MARTIAL LAW LABEL: 1916 (24 July) opened out env. from Kampala via Entebbe to Fort Portal, Toro bearing a fine example of the black on blue "OPENED BY CENSOR/UNDER/MARTIAL LAW" label tied by Kampala c.d.s. It would appear that the blue censor labels were used for internal Uganda mail only. Few examples of the blue label have survived, no examples were offered in the Rossiter or Brown sales.
