(faults and several stamps removed from reverse) to "U.S.S. 'Swatara',/Hobart Town (Tasmania)/Van Dieman's Land.... 1280 RARE NEW YORK FOREIGN MAIL 13-SPOKE 'COGWHEEL' OBLITERATION: 1875 Transatlantic E to France with 3c green strip (3) tied by two clear strikes of the rare 13-spoke variety of the 'cogwheel' obliterator [type GE-C3], with 'NEW YORK/PAID' c.d.s.; m/s 'Pr S.S.Russia', French entry & arrival c.d.s.
