1069 1858 EL (inobtrusive repair) to Russia via Constantinople struck with small "MALTA" c.d.s. and oval-framed "P-D" (both in red) whence it travelled to French P.O. and received the "CONSTANTINOPLE TURQUIE" double-ring c.d.s. and a hitherto unrecorded two line "CONSTANTINOPLE/RE«U 21 NOVEMBRE 1858" h.s. (thought to have been an internal office mark used to facilitate the transfer to another foreign P.O.); Russian P.O. then added its double-ring Constantinople c.d.s. A rare cover.
