SPECIAL "EXPRESS" REGISTERED MAIL TO INDIA; 2nd July 1860 stampless prepaid EL from Glasgow (v. fine "PAID" c.d.s. on front) to Calcutta endorsed "Express from Bombay to Calcutta" and so with near fine red boxed "REGISTERED/AT/GLASGOW" on the front (it was compulsory to register mail to be sent by this Indian Express service) with manuscript "ºoz", "3/3" and "2/-" (the rate was apparently 2/- Express Fee, 6d reg. fee and 9d postage per ºoz), having fine red London "(Crown)/REGISTERED" and matching oval "REGISTERED/LONDON" d.s. on the front.
