The cover was put in the military mails at Efate and flown to Espiritu Santo by a SOC aircraft. It was then turned over to Army P.O. 708 & forwarded to APO 719. The addressee had in the meantime moved to Henderson Airfield, Guadalcanal. The letter was then transhipped by APO 719 by the rear echelon, arriving at Guadalcanal on 28 December.
