E.D.Brodie at various addresses in England acknowledging orders for stamps from Gambia, Hong Kong, Malta, St. Helena and Virgin Islands plus a 1936 version detailing stamps available (complete with covering env. franked with G.B. KEVIII adhesives posted) from British Postmaster of Tangier. Small faults but an interesting and unusual group. (7 items). £75

PROOFS & SPECIMENS: 1863/4 Cape of Good Hope 6d mauve toned, thinned and repaired but with scarce part oval cancellation of PIQUETB(URG) in red, 1874 Natal 1d, 3d & 6d imperf. singles on ungummed thick paper each ovptd. 'CANCELLED' in black (superb condition), 1895 Natal ‡d on 6d surcharge (SG.114) handstamped 'SPECIMEN' in purple but with little gum and perf faults, 1902/3 Natal POSTAGE REVENUE set to 2/6d ovptd. 'SPECIMEN' with a distinct variety on the 'M' on the 4d value (the odd offset and perf. fault here and there but mainly fine & fresh) and 1908/9 Natal POSTAGE 2/6d (2) & 5/- ovptd. 'SPECIMEN', one of the 2/6d values being affixed to small piece of cream coloured card and the 5/- & the other 2/6d being superb and very fresh mounted mint. (20). £150
52 WEST INDIES: The exceptional mint collection of KGVI issues housed on Hagner leaves with good representations of Antigua, Barbados, British Guiana, British Honduras, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts, St.Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands and Virgin Islands.
