1912 (11 June) env. roughly opened at left used from Senneh to Roumania franked with 1912 Mohammed Ali Shah 13ch tied by "SENNEH" c.d.s with "HAMADAN (ARRIVEE)" and similar "DEPART" c.d.s. nearby. The cover has a m/s endorsement in Arabic which reads "Sennandag P.O. Burjano. In accordance with telegram No 6277 from The Director of Posts dated 1st Sour, this cover, the stamp of which is surcharged MUHAMMAD ALI SHAH is not accepted. Return it to the first postage place P.O. of HAMADAN. Dated 2nd Sour 1330". The endorsement seems to indicate that although mails were exchanged between the Rebels the former did not deliver them and that the Director did not continance it. It should be noted taht the overprint appears to have been applied after the adhesive was affixed. |
