"1856"] EL from "P.M.Burg" ("I am now living in the country, but am in town for a day or two to purchase cattle & c...") to Durban endorsed "PAID" & franked by an 1857-59 3d rose (22x29mm) tied by a very fine strike of the rare P.M. Burg "Grille of Dots" cancel with a light oval "POST OFFICE/P.M.BURG" mark alongside. Few examples of this distinctive short-lived cancellation are recorded on cover.
