"Chine" 5c tied by c.d.s. of 4 November, triangular framed "T", British "4D/F.B." and Prestonpans arrival c.d.s. Some minor creasing and a tiny puncture at upper right. The Chungking Local Post card had no validity outside the local post system, so the sender deleted the face value of "2 CANDAREENS" prior to despatch. A great rarity, a similar card from the same correspondence addressed to London realised HK $115,000 in 1996.
