572 1890 JUBILEE MIXTURE: Unused postal stationery env. and card for 1890 Penny Postage Jubilee plus another card bearing 11 values of the 1887 Jubilee issue and a 1d lilac cancelled by 3 superb strikes of the large circular "PENNY POSTAGE JUBILEE/V(Crown)R/1840-1890/2.JY.90/SOUTH KENSINGTON", red postal stationery card imprnted with "Penny Post Jubilee-1890/Guildhall, London" uprated with 2d Jubilee adhesive with 3 fair strikes of the many sided special cancellation and (unusually for a commercial postcard) registered within London, another and this time superb strike of the same cancellation on another example ot the same card in a much darker shade and 3 covers (2 of them embossed 1d postal stationery envs. one of which is registered and uprated with the same adhesive stamp) each bearing fine to superb strikes of the afore-mentioned circular mark, some cancelling and others away from the embossed or adhesive stamps. 575 1900 BRITISH ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE ANNUAL MEETING: Parcel Post label (8 Sept.) bearing 3d Jubilee with Bradford d.s. and blue crayon registration mark, emanating from the Annual Meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. Stitt Dibden observed that whilst this Society was formed as early as 1831, this was the first recognisable handstamp (to the best of his knowledge). Rare. PHOTO - see plate no. £100
