NEW ZEALAND PRE-STAMP RARITIES SOLD ON BEHALF OF THE METHODIST CHURCH ARCHIVES.
The following nine lots are the final part of a small duplicated archive of Mission Reports recently found to be surplus to requirements by the Methodist Church Archives in London, and sold now on their behalf to raise funds for their archives work. The first part of this archive was offered in Cavendish's September 2000 auction, when understandably high prices were achieved, given the rarity and condition of these covers (that have stayed in the archive to which they were addressed for over 150 years). No further sales of covers from this source are now to be expected, and no other lots of this Australasian material will be offered after these few remaining items have been sold.
