Copper engraved by John Harris and published by George Grierson with a dedication to the members of the Irish Parliament in Dublin. Detailed map of the whole of Ireland, including roads and distances between towns. Decorative pictorial heading and cartouche, flanked by street plans of Athlone, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Cork, Fort Charlemont, Drogheda, Dublin, Duncannon, Galway, Limerick, Londonderry & Waterford, plans of Cork harbour and Kinsail harbour and a panorama of Kilkenny. At the foot is an index of place names. Some minor flaws, which do not detract from an exceptional, highly decorative map, worthy of permanent display. **/*** PHOTO - see plate no. 5 £1000

Original map drawn by John Lees, G.P.O. and engraved by G. Fleming, Essex Quay, Dublin. Also listing the current postal rates (commencing @ 2d. under 7 Irish miles) and the itineraries of 12 mail coach routes from Dublin and the times of 19 cross mails. Rare map (ex Willcocks). *** £200
