FORMED BY "WILLIAM BLOTT, INSPECTOR OF FRANKS AT THE G.P.O.: A large ledger (covers separated and rather tatty) prefaced with a lovely ornate title page reading "A collection of Franks, Original Letters & Portraits of Members of the House of Commons from 1820 to 1841 compiled by William Blott - Inspector of Franks at the G.P.O. Vol. VI London Feb. 1845" containing an extensive collection of Free fronts, letters & newspaper cuttings (portraits & obituaries) relating to MP's of the period whose names began with the letters P-R. The letters include correspondence to Blott from various MP's inc. a letter from J.Ryle which states "As I am now nearly recovered from the accident to my right hand I beg to give you the required notice that I shall forthwith resume my privilege of Franking in my own hand".
