2069 MILITARY - WWII - LODZ GHETTO: 1941 6pf postal stationery card addressed to Vienna from a woman in the Lodz ghetto (created in early 1940) with large violet "UNZULASSIG" (Inadmissible) h.s. Note: The unfortunate people held within the Lodz ghetto were ostensibly allowed to communicate with their friends elsewhere in Europe but in actual fact most of the cards which have survived never left the ghetto - delivery being refused at the Post Office by the German Authorities on various pretexts.
