755 BRITISH TASK FORCE AND THE CONFLICT: The magnificent collection of covers, cards & ephemera relating to the War itself inc. sundry FPO items ex Ascension, a wealth of cachets from various British ships inc. "SUPPLY OFFICER/10 MAY 1982/H.M.S. COVENTRY" (the day of the sinking of that vessel) and cachets from such ships as H.M.S. Exeter, Fearless, Invincible & Sir Lancelot, M.V. 757 AIRMAIL LETTER (11 June) from the Falklands to Devon & redirected to Telford sent by a member of HQ 3rd Commando Brigade with a good example of the scarce "FPO 141" cancellation of Teal Inlet, dated 11 June. FPO 141 only operated from Teal Inlet for six days before moving to HMS "Fearless". Interesting contents include "Just seen Malcolm, he lost everything in HMS Galahad which was attacked and sunk last night. Where the hell are the aircraft to give us cover. A rare item. £60
758 PAIR OF AIRLETTERS TO BRITAIN: 29 June air letter to Kent from a member of the 3rd Commando Brigade written on board S.S. "Canberra" on the day it left San Carlos for the UK and 1 July air letter to Kent written by a Corporal two weeks after the Argentine surrender with FPO "141" cancellation. Interesting contents.
