Cavendish has always encouraged and supported 'youth philately' and in recent years has actively promoted competitions and clubs for the younger enthusiasts. Through financial, advertising and editorial avenues, Cavendish works in close co-operation with the Stamp Active Network (SAN) - formerly the National Youth Stamp Group - in its endeavours. As sole sponsors of the 'Kidstamps' programme, an innovation for which Cavendish won the coveted 'Rowland Hill' Award in 1999 in the 'New Horizons' category, we support competitions at Federation and National levels and the liaison between local stamp clubs and the regional organisers.
